At a fairly young age I found that I was most introspective, most creative, when I was in solitude. At such times I would best recognize subtleties in my mind and in my heart, and could capture them. I would lose myself in the moment. Moments of discovery and wonder. And, too, moments of sorrow, pain, humor, love, loss and regret, and later wisdom. I would question everything, build and then break my own paradigms.

And I still do.
